Busy Labor day weekend

We had a very busy weekend.  On Friday night we had the first book club meeting.  We picked The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon (I think that is how you spell his name).  I just started it today and so far it is really good.

Then on Saturday morning we left our house at 5:45 am to head to Cincinnati to see Chris, Carrie and Celeste Thelen for Celeste's 1st birthday.  She had a big party on Saturday and it was lots of fun to see them.

Here is a picture of Celeste and Samuel playing.

While we were Samuel obviously had to take a few naps.  I went up to check on him during one of his naps and this is how I found him sleeping.  He must have really felt comfortable.

We also met Ari, John's fiancee.  We really liked her! Welcome to the club.  (FYI: Just an educational side-note.  Did you know that a man who is engaged to be married is called his partner's fiance and a woman similarly engaged is called her partner's fiancee.)

Then we left Sunday around 1pm and headed back to St. Louis.  Yesterday we were busy running errands.  Today both Dave and I are exhausted.  We have so much to do this week and it is already, well almost, Wednesday.

I am now going to watch a little 90210.  Yes, it is back on.
